I'm buggered!!

Believe me when I say I was under no illusions of how difficult parenting would be, but I didn't realise I would be worn out before my daughter even arrived home!! :-)

Running around in and out of hospital visiting my two girls, and bustling between meetings at work etc, and doing washing and running errands .... the list goes on. But then I guess every parent has these complaints - strike that, they're not complaints - it's Life!! :-)

Mum, Dad & Brianna are all doing well. Brianna is being the darling little girl that she is and pooping and sleeping regularly which is good. Feeding has had a couple of ups and downs along the way, but practice makes perfect and Brianna doesn't know exactly what she wants and when she wants it, so Marty doesn't quite know either. Today a revelation was made though - change her nappy or make her grumpy in some other way to get her crying with her mouth wide open makes it a whole lot easier to get a wide open mouth latched on ...!! Not a good long term plan, but it's working for the moment so we'll stick with it. :-)

Brianna had her first bath yesterday which Granny and Marty enjoyed ... Brianna apparently didn't enjoy it quite so much. Some screaming was heard in the next ward. :-)

Hospital gowns and wraps were discarded for cute clothes today. Photo below of her first clothes to be worn.

Marty is gaining confidence with every day that passes. She said to me tonight that she was feeling pretty happy to go home but was still keen to stay in hospital until milk started to flow. Good idea and the midwives suspect that will be tonight or early tomorrow morning sometime. So we'll keep you posted on home coming.
